POSITION OVERVIEW
The Events & Special Projects Manager will lead all events and special projects. This position will report directly to the Chief Marketing Officer and work together in the execution of targeted marketing programs, campaigns, and initiatives.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Assist in logistics/arrangements for all events, conferences, and trade shows including on-site assistance
- Travel is required for approximately 30% of the year
- Coordinate and help promote events through e-marketing
- Manage promotional items and special orders for associates as well as assist with our procurement tool
- Responsible for participation in general marketing duties and ad-hoc projects, committees and/or group events
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- A bachelor’s degree required; marketing, advertising, or communications preferred
- 2-4 years marketing-related experience required
- Strong proficiency of Microsoft Office Suite with strong PowerPoint skills
- Well-versed in Adobe Illustrator and InDesign
PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Self-starter with strong project management skills and attention to detail
- Excellent organizational skills, time management skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities are required
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Effective resourcefulness to acquire information when needed
- Experience in financial services industry is a plus
