Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from an accredited program.
  • Valid licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of Delaware.
  • Experience working with children or adolescents in educational settings preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of assessment and intervention techniques for speech and language disorders.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and growth in the field of speech-language therapy.

Compensation: $41-$42/hr

Hours: 37.5 hrs/week

Responsibilities:

  • Screen, assess, and develop therapy plans for students referred for speech and language services.
  • Train staff and collaborate with educators, parents, and specialists on intervention strategies.
  • Implement and monitor therapy plans, providing direct support as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate student progress to relevant stakeholders.
  • Participate in team meetings, conferences, and reviews to inform decision-making.
  • Provide in-service programs for staff and parents on speech and language therapy.
  • Act as a liaison between the school and community agencies for collaborative services.
  • Stay updated on best practices through professional development.
