Are you looking for a fun part-time position? A job where you can make a difference in someone's life? A man with autism in the Liverpool area is looking for a 1:1 staff to support him in the community, assisting him to build relationships and explore recreational opportunities in the area. He enjoys Disney movies, trains, computers, and gaming on a variety of consoles. He likes visiting the mall, 5 Wits, and local libraries. If you share these interests, this is the job for you


The ideal candidate will be reliable and able to commit to the position long-term as frequent change can be hard. They will have exceptional communication and listening skills in order to build trust and develop a positive working relationship with the person. Potential staff should be comfortable working in a home that has pets.


This is a part-time position, but additional hours are available with other people receiving services at the agency.


Starting pay: Starting pay is $16/hour and increases with years of relevant experience


Schedule: up to 6 hours per week, between 1-4pm (prefer twice per week for 3 hours each). Days are flexible but would prefer a consistent schedule each week.


Location: Liverpool, NY


Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Ability to work independently in the person's home and/or community
  • Reliable with effective communication and organizational skills
  • No experience required but experience working with people with disabilities preferred
  • New York State Driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance is required; acceptable driving record required
  • Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community

In efforts to continue to recruit and retain the best staff, Exceptional Family Resources is pleased to announce the 2024 Employee Retention Bonus. The first bonus will be a payment equal to 3% of wages earned from 1/21/2024 to 6/8/2024. The second bonus will be a payment equal to 3% of wages earned from 6/9/2024 to 11/9 /2024.
