This is a hybrid position, requiring 2-3 days of office presence per week.

Key Responsibilities

· Manage daily accounting tasks, ensuring all transactions are accurately posted to the correct general ledger accounts. This includes recording and maintaining accounts receivable and payable transactions, customer and vendor records, and overseeing collections.

· Reconcile bank, credit card statements, and maintain monthly schedules for prepaids and accruals.

· Support the Financial Controller with maintaining and enforcing a documented system of accounting policies and procedures and assisting with month-end and year-end closing processes.

· Coordinate with payroll consultants for the timely preparation of timecards and payroll reports, and manage specific financial operations and projects as directed by the Financial Controller.

· Contribute to the timely reporting of all monthly financial information and ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for all financial operations.

· Handle daily banking requirements, transaction processing, and assist with monthly and quarterly bank compliance activities to ensure they are performed accurately and on time.

· Collaborate with other departments to ensure the accuracy of financial information, supporting overall department goals and objectives from a financial perspective, and managing expenses.

· Monitor and analyze department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy, and provide analytical support for financial projects and initiatives.

· Assist in coordinating the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit, support compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings, and participate in financial audits, providing recommendations for procedural improvements.

· Handle ad-hoc financial requests and queries from management.

Requirements

· Proven experience of at least 3 years in an accounting role.

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting.

· Desirable to have experience with Microsoft Dynamics.

· Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and principles.

· Experience with creating financial statements and with general ledger functions.

· Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

· Excellent analytical and numerical skills.

· Sharp attention to detail and a dedication to accuracy.

· Strong organizational and time management skills.

· Effective communication, both written and verbal, and interpersonal skills.
