The Position:

As an Event Cook/Driver for Fireside Catering, you will assist in the preparation, cooking and plating of delicious meals for a wide variety of events with unique menus. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking, a creative mindset, and excellent attention to detail. In addition, as the Event Truck Driver, you will drive the truck to the event, assist in the unload, pack the truck at the end of the night and return it to the commissary. Full and part-time hours available in a fun and fast-paced environment.


The Perks:

  • Additional compensation of $100 per shift when scheduled to drive a 14’ to 16’ box truck to events.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Must be able to lift 30 lbs.

  • Take pride in your job – We use ingredients from our own farm, The Farm at Gibbet Hill and many local vendors.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate with other staff members to ensure that all elements of the event, including setup, serving, and cleanup, are executed flawlessly

Ensure that all food is prepared and presented in accordance with food safety and sanitation guidelines

Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area, including proper storage and labeling of all food items

Ensure that all food waste is minimized and disposed of properly

Ensure the truck is packed properly to eliminate damage to all wares and equipment.
