Our unparalleled success has now positioned us to expand from a market contender to be the dominant force in the industry, and we have created the new position of Lead Wastewater Process Engineer to join our elite team of engineers, technicians and professionals.

This position will play an instrumental role in leading our team of engineers and bringing to life new water and wastewater treatment technologies.  Travel within the US is anticipated.  Must have a valid US passport or the ability to obtain a US passport.

This position is 100% in-office and applicants must be able to commute to our Centennial, CO office.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  1. Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as the company's leading expert on wastewater treatment processes, specializing in biological treatment and MBBR technologies. Learn and understand the Triplepoint treatment products and solutions.  Stay updated on the latest advancements in wastewater treatment technology and apply expertise to develop innovative solutions for our customers.
  2. Project Leadership: Lead the design, optimization, and implementation of wastewater treatment processes for our customers. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful design and execution.
  3. Customer Collaboration: Act as the primary technical advisor to our internal stakeholders, providing expert guidance on wastewater treatment process optimization and troubleshooting. Build strong relationships with internal sales and engineering teams and external reps, customers, engineers and operators and effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical individuals.
  4. Process Design: Lead the development of wastewater treatment process designs tailored to our customers’ needs, including process flow diagrams, mass balances, process calculations and equipment specifications. Apply engineering principles and best practices to ensure the efficient and effective treatment of wastewater within our product scope.
  5. Technology Evaluation and R&D: Evaluate, recommend, and develop wastewater treatment technologies and solutions suitable for our customers’ needs, including MBBR systems and other biological treatment processes. Conduct feasibility studies and technology assessments to identify the most suitable solutions for our specific needs. Be the key driver of the Wastewater Process Engineering R&D efforts.
  6. Quality Assurance and Issue Resolution: Implement quality assurance processes and procedures to ensure the reliability and performance of wastewater treatment system designs. Conduct thorough reviews of design documents and oversee commissioning and startup activities as well as troubleshooting and issue resolution as pertains to wastewater treatment processes.
  7. Training and Development: Provide technical training and mentorship to junior engineers and team members within our manufacturing organization. Build and share your expertise and our knowledge-base to foster professional growth and development within the engineering team and entire organization.

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience in wastewater treatment process design and engineering.
  • Expertise in biological wastewater treatment processes, including MBBR technologies.  Lagoon expertise strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading wastewater treatment design and execution.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in process simulation software and engineering design tools.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • A natural leader with strong interpersonal skills, low drama and high standards who sets a good example for the rest of the team.
  • A detail-oriented professional with big-picture vision and understanding.
  • A continuous learner with an insatiable curiosity who brings life experience and a go-getter, ownership mentality to work everyday.
  • A technically inquisitive engineer, experienced in research & design, product development, setting up and running pilot programs and similar innovative technology-based initiatives.
