Job Summary:

The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) provides behavior analysis services and develops behavior management plans for students receiving special education and support through the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) at Tiers 2 and 3. The BCBA will supervise the district's Positive Behavior Interventionist and Technician program across elementary schools. Additionally, the BCBA will offer professional development for both certified and non-certified staff and participate in district-level committees.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments for students with behavior concerns receiving MTSS tier 2 or 3 support, or special education services.

- Develop and adjust behave:or intervention plans for students requiring specific interventions.

- Participate in building-level SBIT/MTSS or IEP meetings.

- Supervise and provide professional development for Positive Behavior Interventionists and Technicians.

- Collaborate with building and district leadership to develop and modify BCBA programming as needed.

- Work directly with students presenting complex and challenging behaviors on a case-by-case basis.

- Deliver professional development for staff on service delivery, data collection, and behavior analysis.

- Engage in required and other job-related professional development activities to maintain or improve certification/skills.

- Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

- Acceptable graduate degree from an accredited university.

- Completion of acceptable graduate coursework in behavior analysis.

- Defined period of supervised practical experience to apply for and pass the BCBA exam.

- OR acceptable graduate degree, full-time faculty position in behavior analysis (including research and teaching), and supervised practical experience to apply for the BCBA exam.

- Preferred experience in a K-12 educational setting.

- At least one year of practical experience preferred.

- Must hold current BCBA credentials through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.

- Such alternatives and additions to the above qualifications as deemed appropriate by the Superintendent.

- Effective collaboration and leadership skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

- Proficiency in data collection and analysis.

- Capability to provide professional development and training to staff.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

- Ability to sit, stand, walk, go up and down stairs, operate foot and hand controls, use a telephone, and write.

- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds or more.

- Accurate perception of sound, near and far vision, depth perception, and handling educational materials/objects.

- Ability to work for the duration of the daily contracted time period and be physically present and at assigned work locations, with infrequent unexcused absences, during the contract year.

- Additional technical skills, knowledge, and abilities as recommended by the immediate supervisor and approved by the Human Resources Director.
