  1. Strategic Leadership: Define and drive the strategic direction of the cybersecurity program. Develop and implement cybersecurity strategies, policies, and initiatives aligned with business objectives and industry best practices.

  2. Technical Expertise: Serve as the technical authority on cybersecurity matters. Provide guidance and oversight on the design and implementation of security architectures, solutions, and controls. Stay abreast of emerging threats and technologies to ensure the organization remains ahead of evolving cybersecurity risks.

  3. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of cybersecurity professionals. Set clear objectives, provide ongoing feedback and coaching, and foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation within the team.

  4. Security Operations: Oversee security monitoring, incident response, and threat detection efforts. Ensure timely detection, analysis, and resolution of security incidents. Develop and maintain incident response playbooks and procedures.

  5. Vulnerability Management: Direct vulnerability assessments, scans, and remediation efforts. Develop and implement comprehensive vulnerability management processes and procedures. Establish metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of vulnerability management efforts.

  6. Security Governance and Compliance: Establish and maintain robust security governance frameworks. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal security policies. Coordinate and support security audits and assessments.

  7. Security Awareness and Training: Develop and deliver security awareness and training programs for employees at all levels of the organization. Promote a culture of security awareness, accountability, and compliance.

  8. Risk Management: Conduct risk assessments and prioritize security risks based on potential impact and likelihood. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and controls to reduce risk to acceptable levels.

  9. Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, operations, compliance, legal, and executive leadership to address cybersecurity needs and requirements. Communicate effectively with senior management and stakeholders on cybersecurity matters.

Qualifications:

  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications such as CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), CISM (Certified Information Security Manager), or CRISC (Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control) are highly desirable.

  2. Experience: 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity or a related field, with a proven track record of leading and executing cybersecurity initiatives in complex enterprise environments.

  3. Technical Skills:

    • Expertise in cybersecurity principles, concepts, and technologies.
    • In-depth knowledge of security tools and technologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, antivirus, etc.
    • Strong understanding of networking protocols, operating systems, and applications.
    • Experience with vulnerability management, incident response, and risk management processes.
  4. Leadership Skills: Exceptional leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve strategic objectives. Proven experience in leading and developing high-performing cybersecurity teams.

  5. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and senior executives.

  6. Visionary Thinking: Strategic thinker with the ability to anticipate emerging cybersecurity threats and trends. Proven ability to develop innovative solutions to address evolving cybersecurity challenges.
