Job DescriptionJob Description

Are you a qualified insurance representative with a background in Disability Insurance? Do you possess in-depth comprehension of the accessible products and the most optimal remedies to support and collaborate with other advisers? As a specialist, your focus will be on DI sales through joint projects with other financial professionals, providing instruction and coaching to escalate the firm’s sales and recognize business progression prospects. The candidate we are seeking should have at least 3 years of experience as a representative offering Disability Insurance as part of a comprehensive risk management approach. You must have a Life and Health insurance license. As a specialist role, there will be a base wage corresponding with experience, in combination with bonuses and commissions. Plus, you will have access to a rewarding set of benefits, including medical, vision, dental, life, and disability insurance, and a retirement savings plan. Compensation: Base salary commensurate with experience plus performance-based pay for production.

Compensation:

$90,000 at plan commission

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct meetings with new and potential clients and carefully listen to their individual circumstances in order to present the best insurance policies to meet their needs
  • Maintain a portfolio of existing customers and pursue insurance sales with new clients by using sales strategies that may include cold calling, email campaigns and networking
  • Develop risk management strategies for each customer to ensure his or her policy needs are continuously met
  • Stay abreast of any changes to rules or policies within the insurance agency to effectively amend insurance programs for existing and prospective clients
  • Identify business and individual markets for lead generation and business development
  • Provide training and collaborate for joint work opportunities with other advisors
Qualifications:

  • Valid L&H insurance license required
  • Series 7, 66 preferred or willing to pursue securities licensing in the first 6 months
  • Ability to prospect and generate leads and close sales
  • Candidates must have some computer experience, including the ability to effectively use Microsoft Office programs
  • Enjoys working independently with strong time management and organizational skills
  • 3+ years selling disability insurance as part of a balanced risk management or benefits package.
