Our client is seeking a self-motivated and highly energetic Sales Representative to further develop our corrugated business in RI. The ideal candidate must have a demonstrated track record of sustained, profitable sales growth in a corrugated sales position with a focus on business growth


The Sales Representative will be responsible for the sales of the corrugated products sold and manufactured in Rhode Island. The Sales Representative must drive profitable sales growth through the planning, deployment and management of sales. The Sales Representative must also identify and implement strategies to improve sales and profits as a team member with production and other functional leaders. The Sales Representative must uphold the very highest level of professionalism and motivation to bring in new business.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage and plan sales activities within a designated territory to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Demonstrated ability for continuous learning in a highly competitive, fast changing marketplace
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline status in the CRM system.
  • Establish accurate annual sales budget by projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new accounts
  • Present and demonstrate the value of products and services to prospective buyers.
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and contracts.
  • Negotiate and close sales deals to achieve or exceed sales targets.
  • Monitor and report on sales performance and market trends.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
  • Conduct regular meetings with clients to understand their needs and present suitable products or services.
  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, and referrals.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential customers and market trends.
  • Attend industry events and tradeshows to build a strong sales pipeline.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, customer service, and product development, to ensure customer satisfaction and successful sales outcomes.
  • Share insights and feedback with the team to improve sales processes and product offerings.


Qualifications:

  • Understanding of product design, graphics and applications
  • Proven history of managing and developing a sales territory to increase both revenue and market share
  • At least 2 years industrial sales experience. Packaging or corrugated experience is preferred
  • Strong understanding of sales principles and customer service practices.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with clients.
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • A valid US driver's license
  • Willingness to travel to customers in local market
