My Notes: We are seeking a Sr. Financial Data Analyst to join our growing team and be a part of an exciting phase of our organization's data journey by contributing to the success in both our daily operations and long-term strategy. In this role, you will be responsible for filtering data by reviewing reports and performance indicators to identify/analyze/interpret patterns and trends in data sets for the diagnosis and correction of code problems, in addition to assisting in the design of processes and systems to monitor data quality and ensure production data is always accurate/available for key stakeholders and business processes that depend on it. This Analyst will take lead in Data Cataloging, Lineage, Security, and Controls for our entire data landscape and will play a large part in building Data Artifacts such as a Data Dictionary, Standards, and Definitions. We are looking for someone who is collaborative as they will be working closely with data engineers, programmers, management heads and business teams to devise data governance strategies, improve data models that feed Power BI and increase data accessibility, and define KPIs across the org to build Power BI reports/dashboards that support ongoing reporting and analysis of business results for leadership to illustrate trends, patterns, and predictions. Strong communication and comfortability in high-level discussions will be valuable as this person will lead business requirements sessions with stakeholders to elicit clear/comprehensive requirements for system features and enhancements. Additionally, this Analyst should be proficient with SQL as they will be developing and executing SQL scripts to test data conversions and perform ad-hoc analysis. Any financial background will be important as you will be working with financial data sources and providing financial/operational value-add reports.
