This position involves comprehensive management of laboratory equipment, encompassing procurement, maintenance, and inventory coordination. Collaborating closely with the team, the Equipment Specialist ensures the availability and functionality of essential equipment for seamless operations. Key responsibilities include overseeing maintenance activities, liaising with vendors, maintaining records, and participating in equipment qualification processes.

While a high school diploma or equivalent is required, candidates with a bachelor’s degree in business management or related fields, coupled with 1-5 years of equipment management experience, are preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and exceptional communication skills are vital. Behavioral expectations encompass effective time management, problem-solving, and resourcefulness. The role also includes special requirements such as exposure to pathogens and chemicals, necessitating the use of personal protective equipment, and occasional lifting and carrying up to 50lbs. Additionally, the ability to work extended hours may be required.

The pay rate for this position is on a range and is contingent upon education and experience. Experienced candidates will have the opportunity to train junior staff, contributing to team development and growth within the organization.
