This is a full-time, permanent position working on-site in Memphis TN.

W2 Only, no C2C.

As a Corporate Accountant - Tax Specialist you will be responsible for the income tax profile (income tax provision, compliance, and planning) for the US operations and will support a wide array of projects engaging in technical application and process improvement. Must understand and build upon tax accounting methodologies, coordinate compliance efforts with third-party tax preparer, and be effective in identifying tax-saving opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the monthly, quarterly, and annual income tax provision
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations for the income tax-related accounts
  • Prepare financial statement supporting documentation as requested
    Manage the income tax third-party preparer for estimated payments, extension filings, and tax return delivery
  • Aggregate necessary financial data and prepare working papers supporting tax computations
  • Develop analytical procedures to provide better analysis to the finance team
  • Maintain technical expertise through research platforms, training seminars, etc. and disseminate to key team members
  • Researching and interpreting tax guidance through CCH/RIA knowledge platforms
  • Engage in tax savings and refund opportunities both internally and with third-party consultants
  • Manage income tax audits as they occur
  • Address income tax and business notices as they occur
  • Assist in compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA certification preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax planning and compliance
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and international tax laws and regulations
  • Experience with tax software and research tools
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Prior experience in a consulting firm is a plus
