Job Description:

- The Senior Application Developer is expected to design, develop, and implement solutions for Legacy Systems.

Required Skills:

- Minimum of 5 years' experience in Tandem/Cobol Development
- Proficiency in COBOL, Pathway, TACL, Enscribe, FUP, SCUP, Peruse, Inspect, Netbatch
- Understanding of Legacy Systems best practices
- Proven ability to understand existing processes and code
- Previous experience with Mainframe is a plus

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

- Coordination of development activities for a team of 1-5 developers
- System requirement specifications development for medium to large program segments
- Creation of detailed system requirement specifications
- Technical Design Document development
- Coding of applications, databases, interface programs
- Conduct peer reviews and unit tests
- Create Unit Test cases
- Documenting of code and system functionality
- Troubleshoot and update code to address defects and enhancements
- Ensure consistency and quality in development hand-offs to and from vendor organization.
