Cast Products, Inc., a progressive manufacturer of zinc die castings seeks a skilled CNC Programmer to join its manufacturing team.
Applicants must demonstrate: the ability to trouble shoot, basic math, reading, writing, blue print reading, comprehension skills and computer proficiency. Experience on HAAS CNC’s, hard cutting and high speed machining is a plus
Major responsibilities include:
- Being Accountable for programming, operation and maintenance of CNC machine.
- Conduct planning sessions and work closely with Tool Designer-CAD/CAM
- Follow work instructions and program list provided by Tool Designer-CAD/CAM
- Program general CNC routines and patterns at the machine.
- Program cutter paths using MasterCam Software.
- Perform indicated CNC machine set-ups.
- Oversee all aspects of CNC machine operation.
- Work closely with appropriate personnel in the development and execution of prototype samples.
- Oversee CNC cutter inventory and notify supervisor when replacement tooling is needed.
- Perform maintenance of CNC
- Make arrangements for servicing of CNC machine if needed.
- Accountable for troubleshooting.
- Maintain record of hours worked and enter into computer at the end of shift, daily.
- Stop a job when a non-conformance is found and consult with Tool Designer-CAD/CAM
- Wear assigned PPE.
- Cleanup work area at the end of each shift.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Tool Room Foreman.
- Follow CPI rules and regulations regarding safety, discipline, cooperation and teamwork.
Requirements
The independent, self starter we seek will have:
- Strong working knowledge of Solidworks, Mastercam and/or Cimatron or similar CAD/CAM engineering applications (programming language and techniques).
- Electrode Programming.
- Three years experience setting up CNC machines for milling, and/or closely related industry.
- Adept at working in a dynamic environment where programs, setups and tooling are constantly changing and interact effectively with employees and management as priorities shift.
Salary info:
$26 - $32 / hr
