Quality Assurance Technician South of Dallas, TX

Essential Functions of the Job:
\t- Perform laboratory testing such as pH, solids/moisture, sodium, etc.
\t - Perform microbiology testing including basic plating in a clean room environment
\t - Perform destructive aseptic package testing
\t - Communicate lab data to Quality Supervisor and Operations Shift Leaders
\t - Accurately prepares and maintains all area paperwork
\t - Perform laboratory equipment calibrations at specified intervals
\t - Troubleshoot and resolve moderate operating difficulties involving area equipment
\t - Assist with investigations related to product spoilage
\t - Perform incubation activities according to standard operating procedures
\t - Maintain a clean and organized workstation
Education/ Experience:
\t- High school diploma or equivalent required
\t - AS/BS degree in Food Science/Food Technology or a Life Science
\t - And/or 2+ years related experience in a food or beverage production facility preferred but fresh graduates are encouraged to apply
