Job Summary and QualificationsThe Operating Room Technician is a non-licensed skilled and experienced person who is responsible under the direct supervision of a registered nurse for selected tasks in the administration of patient care within the operating room suite.
- You will assist with surgical procedures in scrub duties
- You will assist in the orientation, training, and education of new personnel
- You will assist in maintaining safe and aseptic environment for all patients
- You will need to perform all related duties as assigned and directed
- You will facilitate the provision of individualized patient care
What qualifications you will need:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of Surgical Technologist course
- Surgical Technologist Certification preferred
- One-year experience as a Surgical Technologist in an acute care facility required
- Three years additional training or experience in multiple specialties preferred
- Current BCLS certification
