  • Adhere to department procedure standards and maintain extensive knowledge of claims developments, coverage, and markets.
  • Follow up with policyholders after new losses are reported to answer questions and provide guidance on the claims process.
  • Document claim activity in the claims management system and respond to claims issues, disputes, and service requests as needed.
  • Conduct conference calls with insurance adjusters and supervisors to discuss policyholder concerns and ensure timely claim resolution.
  • Provide regular claim status reports to clients and review open/closed claims with large clients to address loss trends.
  • Function as a backup for team members and assist with special projects as directed by the Claims Manager or Director of Claims.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with internal and external clients while participating in mandatory claims roundtables and occasional presentations to small groups.

  • Minimum of 3+ years of commercial claims experience in Property, Auto, General Liability, or equivalent specialties, with multi-jurisdictional experience being a plus.
  • Exposure to Employment Liability, Cyber, Crime, Professional Liability, and Directors and Officers claims.
  • Insurance designations (e.g., INS, AIC, SCLA, CPCU) are desirable but not required.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with a commitment to a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently while being proactive, detail-oriented, organized, and dependable.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, with mastery of Claims Advocate duties.

Salary range is $80K to 90K per year.
