Job Description

One of Ohio's leading healthcare facilities is seeking an Assistant Director Cardiac Cath Lab to oversee the activities of their Cardiac Cath Lab under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer. This role is pivotal in establishing and maintaining departmental policies, procedures, and quality performance standards in collaboration with invasive cardiologists.

Key responsibilities of the Assistant Director Cardiac Cath lab include developing and monitoring departmental operational and capital budgets, coordinating with medical and nursing staff on procedural matters, and maintaining positive working relationships across departments. The manager will oversee employee relations, workflow patterns, and service priorities to ensure efficient service provision. Additionally, responsibilities include participating in marketing and strategic planning, managing supplies and equipment, and ensuring compliance with JACHO standards and safety regulations. The role also involves supervising record maintenance, monitoring productivity, and maintaining proficiency in the Cardiac Cath Lab.

The ideal candidate for the Assistant Director Cardiac Cath Lab should possess the ability to lift, move, and transport radiologic equipment and patients. Excellent communication skills with patients, physicians, and staff are essential, along with the ability to work effectively with others, demonstrating tact and discretion. The candidate should also be capable of working varied schedules and handling blood, body fluids, and potentially infectious organisms.
