Behavior Technician

Pediatric Therapeutic Services (PTS) is seeking a part time Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to provide early intervention classroom support for a local Intermediate Unit.
4 days/week (Mon-Thurs 8:15-11:15 for am session, 30 minute lunch break, 30 min lunch helper period then pm session 12:15-3:15)
Must have experience working with preschool aged children in the behavior field

\tPTS provides consistent on-site and off-site mentorship with Clinical Directors and Team Leaders and EI Mentors.

\tEarly Intervention and School Based Academy: We provide the support and community that a new School-Based therapist needs to feel comfortable and to be successful.

Responsibilities:
\t- Support the classroom teacher and all students enrolled in the classroom with personal care needs (such as toileting and diapering) and instructional support
\t
\tAssist the BSC in implementing behavioral programming
\t
\t
\tUnderstand and adhere to established policies and procedures
\t
\t
\tDemonstrate sound judgment, critical thinking, decision making, and effective time management skills
\t
\t
\tMaintain acceptable attendance status, per Agency policy
\t
\t
\tPerform other duties as assigned
\t
\t
\tMaintain 20 continuing education/training hours per school year
\t

Qualifications:

\tHigh School Diploma

\tMinimum one year experience working with children. Prefer this experience to include working with children (ages 3-5) with special needs.
