A CT technologist is responsible for operating computed tomography or x-ray equipment to take images of a patient's body from different angles . They also prepare patients for diagnostic procedures by explaining the process and then positioning patients to capture the exact images requested by a physician .

Other duties and responsibilities of a CT technologist include:
