Nurse Manager, Emergency Department, 40 Hours

The Night Nurse Manager will be responsible for day to day operations of the Emergency Department, including but not limited to, employee evaluations, recruitment, retention, employee engagement. the responsibilities also include ensuring the provision of patient care consistent with department/hospital and regulatory standards. This position will cover the Adult ED, Psych ED, and Pediatric ED. This is a full-time night position.

Education
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Graduate of an accredited baccalaureate-nursing program (BSN) required.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Required
Work requires current Massachusetts RN license. Certification in related specialty areas may also be required.
Knowledge And Skills
- Analytical and managerial abilities necessary to organize, supervise and evaluate the work of others, to develop, interpret, implement, and evaluate policies, procedures and standards.
- Work requires effective communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively facilitate difficult conversations
- Proficiency with standard software programs used in healthcare (such as MS Word, Outlook) and web browsers, patient registration systems and electronic medical record.
A minimum of three to five years clinical experience in an Emergency Department is required. Charge nurse or supervisory experience is a preferred.
