Description
\t- Develop and support new and innovative products and customer projects from the initial design stage through product testing and commercialization.
\t - Provide ongoing support to the manufacturing operation to improve processes and troubleshoot problems.
\t - Principal Responsibility
\t - Develop initial product design, including drawings and functional requirements. Research options.
\t - Perform design, strength, flow, vibration, thermal, etc. analysis of equipment and components.
\t - Prepare drawings and procedures for equipment and processes
\t - Provide cost estimates and periodic updates on the product, schedule design reviews and communicate issues.
\t - Develop product test plans and evaluate performance at the prototype, pilot and field testing stages.
\t - Work closely with manufacturing, engineering, sales, marketing.
\t - Communicate with customer and vendors as required.
\t - Ensure products and processes are well documented.
\t - Support quality group with issue resolution.
\t - Develop work instructions, manuals and training for engineering, manufacturing and operations.
\t - Acts in the interest of the company at all times.
\t - Actively ensure that his/her own health and safety and the health and safety of all fellow workers or other workers are preserved at all times.
\t - Ensure full awareness of, and compliance with, the requirements of all relevant company/customer
Qualifications
\t- Minimum requirements for this position: Bachelor's degree or MS in engineering 2. 3 years of experience in mechanical design
\t - Practical knowledge of materials and manufacturing
\t - Fundamental knowledge of mechanics, chemical processes and electrical design Drafting knowledge SolidWorks and ACAD preferred
\t - Excellent technical communication skills including proficiency in MS Office suite
