Job DescriptionEssential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following assigned areas:- \t
- \t\tCollect and analyze vibration on various plant equipment (pumps, fans, compressors, gearboxes, etc…) \t \t
- \t\tInterpret vibration data and provide analysis and insights to plant engineering, maintenance, and operations for returning equipment to acceptable vibration levels. \t \t
- \t\tRemediate equipment imbalance through analytical troubleshooting. \t \t
- \t\tPerform balancing on plant equipment utilizing Emerson 2140 and plant Bently Nevada 3500 systems. Equipment to include large rotating and balance of plant equipment. \t \t
- \t\tIdentifies equipment reliability issues through predictive technologies and assists with coordinating all related predictive and preventative maintenance and repair activities. Coordinates with plant planners and supervisors on affected assets. \t \t
- \t\tConducts data collection and analysis to assess the current condition of equipment and systems and coordinate corrective actions with system owners. \t \t
- \t\tMaintains records and evaluations of the general health of all mechanical, electrical, or rotating equipment and associated systems and evaluate/implement modifications as required and approved in order to ensure budgeted capacity, availability and equivalent forced outage rates of the facility. \t \t
- \t\tLeads or participates in any plant Root Cause Failure Analyses (RCFA) and Failure Modes Effects Analyses (FMEA) processes involving or related to mechanical and electrical equipment and systems to ensure corrective actions, repairs, and modifications are appropriate and completed in a timely manner. \t \t
- \t\tDevelop and or review the Planned Maintenance (PM) activities of mechanical, electrical, or rotating equipment and systems to ensure PMs are correctly aligned with the Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) philosophy. \t \t
- \t\tMentors the less experienced reliability engineers and analysts. \t \t
- \t\tDemonstrates situational leadership, environmental stewardship, and safety. \t \t
- \t\tRegular and reliable attendance is required. \t
- \t
- 2-year associate's degree in a related field and/or certifications in one or more Predictive Technologies desired. \t
- 5 years of experience working in an industrial environment using predictive and preventative technologies and philosophies in a reliability engineering capacity. \t\t
- \t\t\t
- Experience would include one or more of the following: tribology, ultrasonic, infrared, Motor Circuit Analysis, or vibration analysis. \t\t\t
- A primary focus in vibration analysis is desired. \t\t
- Candidates with a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering with rotating equipment experience will be considered in lieu of vibration certifications. \t
- Experience performing data collection, analysis, and condition assessment for components of large rotating equipment is desired. \t
- Experience with multiple vibration monitoring technologies is preferred (Proximity probes, velometers, accelerometers, & Bently 3500 Racks)
- \t
- Cat I level vibration certification is required. \t
- Cat II or III level vibration certification preferred. \t
- A Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) is desired. \t
- Certified Reliability Engineer Certification (CRE) is desired. \t
- Certification in one or more areas of predictive maintenance technologies, i.e. tribology, vibration analysis, infrared, Motor Circuit Analysis, Ultrasound, etc., is desired.

- Experience with CMMS systems (Maximo preferred). \t
- Microsoft Office Suite, for preparation of presentations and reports. \t
- System One Vibration Software (preferred) \t
- Insight CM vibration software (preferred) \t
- Emerson Machinery Health Manager Software (preferred)
- \t
- Ability to interpret data and apply learnings towards root cause failure remediation. \t
- Ability to interpret vibration data to correct equipment issues (waveforms, polar plots, shaft centerline, shaft orbits, etc…) \t
- Ability to balance plant equipment utilizing data gleaned from portable vibration analyzers (Emerson 2140) and plant Bently Nevada 3500 equipment. \t
- Ability to clearly communicate with co-workers, supervisors, and others. \t
- Ability to perform work with a high degree of accuracy \t
- Ability to read and understand operation and maintenance procedures. \t
- Ability to establish and maintain a highly organized work environment. \t
- Ability to work any assigned shift and overtime, including evenings and weekends when required. \t
- Ability to work unsupervised as required. \t
- Ability to sit, stand, reach, stoop, and lift boxes weighing as much as 25 pounds. \t
- Physical Requirements:
- \t
- Stand or walk for four to 10 hours per shift. \t
- Work from elevated positions, walk or climb up and down stairways and ladders, and climb on and off of equipment. \t
- Performing work while bending, stooping, and reaching. \t
- Don and wear required safety equipment including respirators, hearing and eye protection, and protective clothing.
- \t
- Must be comfortable working in an industrial environment and around high-pressure steam. \t
- Will work in confined work areas and will be subjected to extremes of ambient temperature. \t
- Will encounter noise levels that will necessitate the wearing of hearing protection.
