Job Description

Tigard Animal Hospital is hiring an Associate Veterinarian to join their team and that aligns with their core values and commitment to teamwork and pet care. Tigard Animal Hospital consists of veterinary professionals that share their love for pets and are dedicated to quality service to the client by treating each pet as their own.


Tigard Animal Hospital has been an established part of the community since 2003. We provide wellness, medical, and surgical care services to dogs, cats, and small mammals. We relocated to our current space in 2020. Our custom-designed facility offers 6 exam rooms, surgical and dental suites, large treatment area with full in-house diagnostics including ultrasound, digital radiology, and laboratory (chemistry, cbc, sedivue, coag). We use Avimark software and online pharmacy software that allows clients to conveniently order everything their pet may need.


We practice fear-free protocols and are feline-friendly certified, which ensures the safety of our team and our client’s pets.


The role:


The Associate Veterinarian is an invaluable member of the hospital team who works directly with a Managing Doctor and supporting medical staff. This individual advances the quality of medicine in the practice and provides exceptional client service to our clients and patients.


Skills and Basic Qualifications


  • Candidate must be a graduate from an AVMA accredited college or have successfully passed the ECFVG certification program or the PAVE certification program
  • Licensure in good standing to practice in the state of Oregon.
  • Commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding veterinary code of ethics.
  • Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Works collaboratively with hospital team members.
  • Makes decisions confidently and effectively.
  • Manages time and tasks appropriately.
  • Models a professional and courteous manner with staff and clients.
  • Commitment to ongoing educational development and growth
