Job Description
Brink's Global Services USA, Inc. is a division of Brink's Inc, the world's premier provider of secure logistics and security solutions in more than 122 countries across 5 continents. Brink's Global Services specializes in the secure transportation and handling of valuable goods throughout the logistic value chain, from raw materials and components to finished products within the mining, banknote, precious metal, jewelry, security, art and pharmaceutical industries.
We are seeking a dedicated Inventory Control Lead to support our warehouse operations. This role requires a hands-on leader who can effectively manage daily tasks while also stepping in to assist with field operations. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between Courtyard and the Courtyard-dedicated staff, ensuring seamless communication and operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with the general warehouse manager to oversee and coordinate the daily warehousing activities specifically involving courtyard assets, including but not limited to, receiving, storing, handling, shipping, and securing those assets.
- Actively participate in warehouse operations, providing hands-on support as needed.
- Supervise the Courtyard-dedicated staff; assigning duties, monitoring performance, and conducting training to ensure a high standard of work.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between the warehouse operations and the Courtyard team, ensuring clear communication and prompt resolution of issues.
- Implement and oversee strict operational procedures to reduce and rectify errors in shipment and inventory handling, aiming for zero error tolerance.
- Proactively resolve unexpected issues such as missing inventory or discrepancies, using problem-solving skills to investigate and address root causes.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a warehouse lead role or a similar supervisory position.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with a proven ability to lead a team effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for managing diverse teams and interfacing with management.
- Problem-solving skills and the initiative to address challenges as they arise.
- Attention to detail with an emphasis on accuracy and quality.
- Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 25 pounds on multiple occasions throughout the day.
- Good familiarity with spreadsheet software (ex: Google Sheet) is required, as well as the ability to learn new software as needed to get the job done.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Minimum of 21 years of age
• A valid firearms permit or ability to pass applicable firearms licensing requirements
• A valid guard card or ability to obtain a guard card or any other required licenses
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays and overtime as may be required to meet business demands.
