MARKETING ASSOCIATE/PROPOSAL WRITER - HACKENSACK, NJ

Marketing Associate/Proposal Writer – 0-5+ Years Experience

O&S Associates, Inc. is seeking a Marketing Associate/Proposal Writer to join our office in Hackensack, NJ. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a wide variety of duties including proposal generation, tracking job opportunities, responding to RFPs, meeting and engaging with potential clients, planning corporate and marketing events, and related administrative functions. The position requires occasional travel and attendance at post-work events. We are a fast-growing company and are looking for an ambitious enthusiastic person who wants to grow with us. We will provide the necessary guidance and training to enable the individual to be successful in this position.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Strong interpretive, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Strong writing and copy-editing abilities
  • Demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, able to handle many diverse projects and tasks in a deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to spot emerging trends
  • Familiarity with social media, social networking, email marketing and search engines
  • Outgoing personality with strong interpersonal and social abilities
  • Desire to meet and develop connections with potential clients
  • A Team player with a knack for diplomatically following up on project priorities and assigned Team tasks

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to marketing department
  • Perform market and client research
  • Track requests for proposals (RFPs) and ensure that all proposals are submitted on time
  • Develop responsive proposals with input from the engineering and architecture staff
  • Assist with maintaining and developing databases and mailing lists
  • Maintain the group marketing schedules with events, client meetings, etc. for all offices
  • Attend local networking events and trade shows (2-4 events per month)
  • Coordinate trade show campaigns, pre-show, show, and post-show follow ups
  • Coordinate client campaigns, materials, outreach, and follow ups
  • Execute market and service specific marketing campaigns including online, social, email, direct mail, and phone follow ups
  • Meet and engage with potential clients and input leads into CRM software
  • Plan and execute office and Client events
  • Monitor and maintain existing company licenses, certifications, and trade association memberships
  • Assist with social media and website content
  • Maintain a directory and inventory of marketing, sales, and office support materials
  • Write copy for brochures, postcards, and other marketing materials

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, journalism, communications, or creative writing
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with social media platforms a plus
  • Experience with Adobe Suite and graphic design skills a plus
