Celebrating a Century:

POSITION TITLE: Research Technician

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  1. Perform glassware washing, autoclaving, and preparation of essential reagents, including media, solutions, and buffers.
  2. Replenish laboratory supplies and maintain organized inventory systems to ensure seamless operations.
  3. Follow assigned protocols to conduct procedures such as immunohistochemistry, confocal microscopy, PCR, and DNA cloning.
  4. Handle advanced techniques like tissue sectioning using cryostat and vibratome equipment.
  5. Work closely with lab staff to support experimental goals and maintain a productive research environment.

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific discipline and up to one (1) year of related experience.
  2. Three (3) to six (6) years of related laboratory experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

COMPENSATION:

The expected hiring range for this position is $18.67 to $24 per hour, commensurate with experience. Consideration will be given to experience that exceeds the listed requirements.
