Job Description

Join our Controls team in Consumer & Community Banking (CCB), the firm's largest Line of Business. This role offers the opportunity to develop and enhance our control framework, contributing to our continuous approach to risk assessment. You'll be part of a dynamic team which supports CCB in serving millions of consumers and small businesses, with the potential for career growth and skill development in a market-leading company.

As a Control Manager Vice President within our risk assessment team, you will lead the development and enhancement of our control framework. This role involves supporting a continuous and integrated approach to risk assessment. Furthermore, you will ensure that the team contributes to top-down risk analysis, real-time control issue detection, escalation, root cause analysis, and remediation.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Create a proactive risk and control culture that leverages proven evaluation strategies and sound change management protocols.
  2. Review and analyze program related data (e.g., KRI/KPI) to support business-related programs and strategies.
  3. Provide leadership support for the end-to-end execution of the Risk & Control Self-Assessment, including control breaks and resolutions, to reduce financial loss, regulatory exposure, and reputational risk.
  4. Engage with control colleagues across the firm, business, operations management, legal, compliance, risk, audit, regulators and technology control functions.

Required Qualifications, Skills And Capabilities

  1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
  2. 7+ years of financial service experience in controls, audit, quality assurance, risk management, or compliance.
  3. Proficient knowledge of control and risk management concepts with the ability to design, create, and evaluate a Risk & Control Self-Assessment in conjunction with business partners.
  4. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).

About The Team

Our Consumer & Community Banking division serves our Chase customers through a range of financial services, including personal banking, credit cards, mortgages, auto financing, investment advice, small business loans and payment processing. Control Management maintains a strong and consistent control environment through a joint accountability model that aligns managers with each function and region to mitigate operational risk.
