About the Role: We are looking for a Tooling Technician to join our team. In this role, you will support MPD manufacturing and R&D operations for tooling repair and maintenance.

This role will be located at our facility in Flagstaff, Arizona.

Please note that evening, night and weekend shift positions are eligible for an additional $2/hour shift differential pay (in California, the shift differential pay is $2.40/hour).

Responsibilities:
  • Work with Tooling Inspection to develop processes to support the removal, repair/calibration and return of tooling to manufacturing
  • Inspect toolingparts to meet manufacturing specifications while following approved standard operating procedures (SOP's)
  • Work closely with engineering on inspection related issues
  • Work with multiple teams across the division including production, skilled trades, Engineering and technical associates with the dual purpose of maximizing schedule efficiency, stiving to meet deadlines to minimize manufacturing down times and help with NPD initiatives.
  • Coordinate and communicate work activities with alternating shifts eams
  • Ensure applicable Quality System requirements are being met and document inspection records in Quality system software (EAM)

    Required Qualifications:
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing environment
    • Experience with EAM/ BMRAM quality system/asset management or equivalent
    • Experience with office-based applications (Min level beginner)
    • Prior work history utilizing SOP's
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task
    • Mechanical aptitude, good hand eye coordination, strong attention to detail
    • D emonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment utilizing effective oral & written communication skills
    • Ability to lift 25 lbs. and stand for extended durations
    • Ability to provide coverage on alternate shifts or work over time as needed
    • Ability to t ravel 10%, if applicable within Gore plants

      Desired Qualifications:
      • Proficient in the use of mechanical based measuring and test equipment (Calipers, Micrometers, scales, etc.)
      • Proficient with manual machining equipment, mills, lathe, etc.
      • Proficiency reading and understand technical documentation/drawings
