Responsibilities:

  1. Formulate and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales goals and revenue targets.
  2. Identify new business opportunities, markets, and innovative sales approaches.
  3. Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing sales team to achieve individual and collective sales goals. Create individual and team growth and development plans.
  4. Build and maintain strong relationships with sales operations, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions. Work with the Team Leads (TL’s) and Service Writers (SR’s) on a day-to-day basis.
  5. Foster a collaborative and results-oriented sales culture within the team.
  6. Utilize data analytics to assess sales performance, identify trends, and implement strategies for improvement.
  7. Develop and present regular performance reports to senior management, highlighting key performance metrics. Monitor performance against forecasts and implement adjustments as needed.
  8. Conduct market research and communicate with your sales team to stay informed about industry trends, customer needs, and competitor activities.
  9. Utilize insights to adapt sales strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
  10. Work closely with sales operations teams to ensure alignment of sales efforts with overall business objectives.
  11. Collaborate with sales operations and project managers on job submissions, supplements, invoicing, and collections to provide resolution.
  12. Work with the recruiter to be proactive on hiring requirements.
  13. Review performance data regarding new hire retention. Implement adjustments with the recruiter and team leads to improve retention.
  14. Create and constantly improve all sales training. Adjust training schedules as needed. Hold all team leads accountable for proper training and following the training SOP.
  15. Responsible for sales pipeline management and accountability.
  16. Responsible for all sales personnel issues.
  17. Coordinate all office and field training, as well as ongoing day-to-day support. Expected to jump in to help when needed, including in the field. Lead from the front.
  18. Provide weekly and monthly quota & performance reviews.
  19. Develop weekly sales meeting agendas and provide them to the team leads.
  20. Create and facilitate sales performance contests as needed.

Qualifications:

  1. Proven experience as a successful Sales Director or in a similar leadership role.
  2. Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a sales team to achieve and exceed targets.
  3. Strong understanding of market dynamics, customer needs, and competitor activities.
  4. Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  5. Exceptional leadership skills and the ability to hold people accountable.
  6. Results-oriented with a track record of driving revenue growth.
  7. 5+ years’ experience in management of teams of over 40 employees.
  8. Minimum of 2 to 3 years industry-specific residential roofing sales, door knocking, and sales management.
  9. Willing to travel approximately 10-15 days a month and 3-4 longer trips after new storms nationwide.
