The AGI team is responsibly advancing Amazon’s generative AI technologies, including the company’s most expansive multimodal foundation models.
As a Software Developer, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers in the design, development, testing, and deployment of innovative systems that can collect and process data within a smart and passionate multi-disciplinary team. We are looking for a candidate with a strong technical ability, great communication skills, and a motivation to achieve results in a fast-paced environment. You will collaborate closely with a team of Applied Scientists with expertise in specialized areas such as Natural Language Processing and Machine Learning.
Key job responsibilities:
We are looking for passionate, hard-working, and talented Software Engineers who have experience building innovative, mission-critical, high-volume applications that customers love. You will have an opportunity to make a large impact on the design, architecture, and implementation of cutting-edge products used every day, by people you know.
- Responsible for development and maintenance of core modules and services.
- Work in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high-quality software against aggressive schedules.
- Collaborate with scientists and software engineers to evaluate technical feasibility, investigate design approaches, and prototype and develop new technology.
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
