MA United States Bright Horizons Full time

The Director, Growth Effectiveness oversees the execution of sales content to articulate a clear value proposition for client acquisition and retention opportunities. This role supports project management, process optimization, planning, execution, and analysis of proactive and reactive proposals and presentations. Strong collaboration with sales and account management team members, sales enablement, and the broader business is required to achieve sales and retention growth targets. The position will manage a team of presentation and reporting specialists, proposal coordinators and writers, and market researchers, ensuring consistent, high-quality output for each individual project and effective, scalable processes.

What you will be doing:

  • Oversee the end-to-end sales support for Client Services/Client Relations, understanding the team’s selling and/or retention goals and their strategy to achieve those goals.
  • Coordinate the development, curation, and management of core content (in collaboration with the B2B marketing team), including presentations, benchmarking, boilerplate proposal language, etc., ensuring all materials are up-to-date and readily available.
  • Ensure concise, easy-to-understand language and compelling graphics in our core assets that align with our approved B2B approach and the Bright Horizons’ brand.
  • Effectively leverage our sales enablement platforms to balance the necessity of self-service with projects that warrant more in-depth support and customization.
  • Work closely with Client Services/Client Relations to understand their selling and/or retention sales objectives, buying influences, weaknesses and opportunities, along with Bright Horizons positioning, effectively translating the agreed-upon strategy into a winning sales story that is consistently represented in high-quality sales collateral and materials throughout the sale.
  • Have courageous conversations that challenge the status quo and support a culture of continuous improvement of growth processes, content, and outcomes.
  • Pays close attention to what works well and what doesn’t, with the goal of continuously optimizing existing approaches; proactively solicit feedback regarding areas for improvement for the team.
  • Develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships with the B2B content team members, graphic designer(s), growth training team, consulting, and other support teams to ensure alignment within cross-functional initiatives.
  • Oversee an effective team of presentation, proposal, research and/or reporting specialists, supporting their training and professional development, and establishing effective job processes.
  • Lead regularly scheduled conference calls/meetings with team members to discuss project progress, identify areas for cross-training, sharing best practices and newly developed materials.
  • Monitor and analyze sales data to identify gaps, track the effectiveness of enablement efforts, and make data-driven adjustments.
  • Handle and resolve client and internal customer issues as necessary in an appropriate and professional manner.
  • Exemplifies and fosters the Bright Horizons culture and HEART Principles in all work functions and internal interactions.

What we hope you will bring to the role:

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or similar - Required.

5 years of Supervisory experience in high-performing sales organizations (sales or enablement) - Required.

Additional Job Requirements
  • A strong understanding of the sales and account management environment, including sales enablement, revenue-facing roles, sales support, and demonstrated knowledge of best practices, methodologies, and techniques in each of these areas.
  • Excellent project management skills and time management.
  • Able to manage multiple projects at once, anticipate roadblocks, juggle priorities, and meet completion deadlines.
  • Develop a deep familiarity with the Bright Horizons buyer’s journey to support the sales team’s success through the stages of that journey – and remain able to adapt quickly as the market evolves.
  • Expertise within Microsoft platforms including Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Technical proficiency with content management in sales enablement and CRM platforms.
  • Able to build strong internal relationships, collaborate with cross-functional teams, build trust through authentic leadership and authentic interactions with colleagues and team members.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Possess deeply acute skills as a listener, speaker, writer, and meeting facilitator; able to engage in strategic sales discussions and translate strategy into customized and successful sales presentations and proposals.
  • Passion for the Bright Horizons mission and dedication to living our company values – our HEART principles – in each interaction every day.
