Job Details:

The Mercer University School of Medicine is searching for a Director of Academic Achievement on the Savannah, Georgia campus.

Responsibilities:

The Director of Academic Achievement reports to the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs for Academic Achievement. This role provides academic counseling for assigned students in all academic programs at Mercer University School of Medicine and supervises a team of Academic Success Counselors. This role is responsible for the development and implementation of comprehensive academic achievement services for the Doctor of Medicine Program under the direction of the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs for Academic Achievement.

Qualifications:

A Master's Degree in Education, Educational Leadership, Educational Psychology, or a related field and three years experience in teaching, educational leadership, or academic counseling are required.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Expertise in teaching or academic counseling;
  • Excellent organizational skills;
  • Ability to effectively lead a team and collaborate with multiple offices;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Prior participation in scholarly activity.
