Lee Health Golisano Children's Hospital is seeking a Pediatric Hematology Oncology Medical Director
The Department of Pediatric Hematology Oncology at Golisano Children's Hospital is seeking a full-time Board Certified/Board Eligible Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist to join our team as Medical Director.
Position information:
As Medical Director of Pediatric Hematology Oncology, this position will be responsible for the leadership of the employed physicians, advanced providers, services delivered within the department, and corresponding program development to provide patient-focused care in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. This hybrid position will provide 75% direct clinical care and 25% administrative duties and responsibilities as Medical Director.
Our division includes 5 full-time physicians and 2 nurse practitioners. Our outpatient clinic with 6 exam rooms, 10-room infusion center, outpatient procedure facilities, and 13-bed inpatient unit are all conveniently located on the 5th floor of Golisano Children's Hospital. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to join a rapidly growing program in both Golisano Children's Hospital and at our satellite clinic in Naples, FL. With around 60 newly diagnosed oncology patients a year and nearly 200 sickle cell patients, the candidate will be exposed to the full scope of both Hematology and Oncology. We count on an extensive multidisciplinary team including APHON certified/chemotherapy certified nurses, social workers, child life specialists, pediatric psychologist, a nurse educator, and two research coordinators. Additionally, our Naples clinic has a cutting-edge 270-degree immersion room that provides entertainment to our patients during prolonged infusions. We are active members of COG through the Florida Pediatric NCORP. Our division is also fortunate to have one of our part-time providers hybrid to Medical Informatics to tailor BEACON on our EPIC EMR to the needs of our specialty.

Golisano Children's Hospital:
Golisano Children's Hospital of Southwest Florida is the only Children's Hospital between Tampa and Miami. It is a new 300,000-square-foot 7-story facility which became a stand-alone hospital in 2017. It counts on 135 beds including a fully staffed ER, NICU, and PICU with access to a variety of subspecialties including pediatric surgery, orthopedics, cardiology, endocrinology, neurosurgery, and more.
Golisano Children's Hospital has been named Top Children's Hospital by The Leapfrog Group four times. Voted Most Beautiful Hospital in the U.S. Golisano is home to Southwest Florida's only state-designated Regional Perinatal Intensive Care Center and is a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
