* Additional Details: Shift differentials given for evenings, nights and weekends

* Platte Valley Medical Center - Brighton
* Saint Joseph Hospital - Denver

Scope:
Sonographer responsibilities:

* Produce high quality ultrasound images and obtain appropriate measurements for each exam.
* Recognize the sonographic appearance of normal and abnormal tissue structures and provide the best image quality for documentation.
* Document all applicable patient and procedure data consistently and correctly.
* Obtain and evaluate pertinent patient history and physical findings that may affect the sonographic examination.
* Explain procedures adequately to patients to maximize patient comfort and cooperation.
* Monitor during all phases of procedure with special care taken to insure patient emotional and physical well-being.
* Communicate patient information in a professional and courteous manner to patients and to referring physician offices as required.

Requirements:

* ARRT Registry or ARDMS Registry. The ARDMS must include successful completion of one registry pertinent to the department beyond physics (options include OB, abdominal, neuro, breast, and, vascular).
* Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT), highly preferred
* American Heart Association - Basic life support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers, required.
* Minimum of two (2) years of related sonography experience, highly preferred

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience. $37.46 - $57.80
