OverviewPhysician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding an ACT-Psychiatrist to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals System /South Brooklyn Health. South Brooklyn Health is a redesigned health care campus featuring the new 11-floor Ruth Bader Ginsburg Hospital which provides emergency care, modern labor & delivery suites, and state-of-the-art surgical services. The new Health & Wellness Institute offers outpatient services from primary and preventive care to specialty services for children and adults, accommodating more than 250,000 outpatient visits, more than 89,000 emergency room visits, and with 371 beds, more than 15,000 inpatient admissions annually.
The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University and NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine to maintain its high healthcare delivery standards and to provide its staff with teaching and research opportunities.

ResponsibilitiesSouth Brooklyn Health Department of Psychiatry consists of board-certified physicians, nurse practitioners, and PAs including a variety of care team.
The Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Program consists of two multidisciplinary teams providing comprehensive in-home and in-community treatment for high-risk patients diagnosed with severe and persistent mental illnesses who have a history of limited adherence to traditional clinic-based services. Providers conduct psychiatric assessments, medication management, and individual, group, family, and substance use therapy services.

- Consultation/Liaison Service
- Outpatient Services including the Med Supervised Outpatient Program at Ida G. Israel Location
- Med-Psych Clinic
- Board Eligible or Board Certified Psychiatrist
- M.D. or D.O. from an accredited school of medicine
- Completed residency training in an accredited program within Psychiatry
- License to practice medicine in the State of New York
- Experience and training in the use of long acting psychotropic medication required
- Experience with Assertive Community Treatment or Mobile Crisis Team preferred
Wages and Benefits include:
Annual Base Salary: $236,900* (board eligible); $247,200* (board certified) based on 40-hour work week.
- Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $104,000.
- Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year's average).
