Wisk’s internship experience is a 12 week, hands-on program. Our goal for our internship program is to see what it’s like to be a full time Wisk employee and complete meaningful work.

We are looking for an Autonomy Flight Systems Intern to join our team for summer 2025. You will be part of the Conflict Detection & Resolution (CD&R) team that is responsible to develop and integrate systems to detect and avoid air traffic, terrain, and ground obstacles. The CD&R team is a 12 person team inside the larger Autoflight & Navigation team within the Autonomy & Airspace Integration organization.


Responsibilities:
  • Depending on your skillsets and areas of interest, your work will focus on one or some of the following topics:
  • Generation of traffic, terrain, and ground obstacle encounters for Monte-Carlo simulations.
  • Improving our simulation and flight data analysis pipeline for traffic avoidance and terrain avoidance functionalities.
  • Perform literature review and develop obstacle detection algorithms.
  • Improve the Continuous Integration/Continuous Development (CI/CD) pipeline for the CD&R codebase.
Requirements:
  • Must be currently pursuing a bachelors, masters or PhD degree with an expected graduation date between December 2025 and June 2027.
  • Experience with MATLAB/Simulink and Python.
  • Hands-on engineering experience in university programs/courses in the areas of radar-based perception, signal processing, sensor fusion, and path planning.

Hourly rate will be $25 USD an hour.

This internship role will be based at Wisk's office in Mountain View, California and relocation or housing will not be provided.

Eligibility Requirements For US:

  • Must be able to work on-site in Mountain View, CA.
  • You must be legally authorized to work in the US for the duration of the internship. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • Must live in the US at both the time of application AND at the time the internship begins.
  • Must be either a rising sophomore, junior, or senior in college.
  • Must have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.0; transcripts are required.
  • Must be an enrolled student at both the time of application AND at the time the internship begins.
  • Must be able to work 40 hours a week for 12 weeks (full-time for 3 months).
