Before & After School Child Care Site Director- Full-Time

*This position currently has a $500 hiring bonus The first $250 would be paid out on the first check, with the remaining $250 paid after 6 months of active work.

Location: Southern Colorado Springs (Vanguard Schools and/or Roosevelt Charter Academy)

Schedule: No Weekends Monday-Friday. The Site Director is expected to report at their site from 6:15am until school begins, and from 15 minutes before school is released until 6:15pm. The Site Director may also have time in between sessions for additional work. *Friday shifts are different due to early release, the start time will be 12pm.

Here's what you'll need:

  • Must meet one of the following qualifications per CO licensing regulations:
    • Completed a bachelor's degree (in a related field, such as recreation, outdoor education, elementary or early childhood education, or a subject in the human service field)
    • 2 years of college education and 3 months (455 hours) of satisfactory and verifiable experience
    • 21 months (3,185 hours) of satisfactory and verifiable experience, along with 6+ semester hours of college education OR 40 clock hours of training in coursework applicable to school-age children. Satisfactory and verifiable experience must have occurred after you were 18 years or older and must be for care/supervision of 4 or more children who are over the age of 4.
  • Preferred at least 21 years old
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet program staffing needs
  • Must be able to successfully complete a background check as required by CO childcare licensing regulations

Pay & Benefits:

  • $21.00 - $24.00 per hour (depending on education)

As an AlphaBEST Captain, you'll be trained to do the following:

  • Lead a fun and dedicated team of Guides that deliver excitement to our student Explorers in fitness, the arts, technology, and more
  • Work collaboratively with peers and the Leadership Team to manage all aspects of the program site.
  • Train AlphaBEST Guides on how to lead adventurous tasks that ignite children's sense of wonder.
  • Encourage creativity and intellectual curiosity by establishing clubs that build on students' interests and talents.
  • Provide a caring, family-oriented environment where positive staff, child, parent, and school relationships are fostered at your program site.
