Job Summary and Qualifications

This position supports the mission of Presbyterian/St Luke’s Medical Center of optimizing the quality of life of all those served by expanding beyond the traditional focus on medical needs to the needs of the whole person. The Staff RN oversees and directs the care of the Wound Management Center patient seen for wound care. The Staff RN coordinates all aspects of patient care delivered in the clinic and by ancillary services. Responsible for direct patient care, including planning, directing and provision of nursing care to patients in accordance with the Colorado Nurse Practice Act, Physician Orders, recognized nursing techniques and policies, procedures, established clinical competencies based on P/SLMC wound care protocols. The Staff RN is responsible to manage the quality management program for each patient using the Wound Management Center algorithms. Demonstrates critical thinking and leadership in the anticipation and planning for the care of the patient. Responsible for meeting the clinical competencies set forth by P/SLMC. When need arises, will perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

What qualifications you will need:

Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multistate Registered Nurse license, BLS required.

Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred.

Experience: Minimum of two years acute care; ambulatory care highly desirable.
