Job Title: Sr. MRI Technologist, Per Diem

Location: UCSF's Peninsula Outpatient Center (POPC), Burlingame, CA

Job Summary: This position operates a variety of equipment including high field strength magnets and support systems with MRI safety as a priority. The MR Senior Radiologic Technologist will be responsible for patient coordination, acquisition, processing, and archiving of all patient data. This position is responsible for training new staff as well as existing staff on new technologies and maintaining equipment according to manufacturer's specifications.

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate of a formal radiology technology training program from an AMA approved school.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with high field magnetic resonance system.
  • Demonstrated and maintained competency in 3 of the 6 specialty scans within six months of hire:
    • Cardiac Imaging
    • Fetal Imaging
    • Whole body Pediatric scans
    • Special procedures (neuro intraop (HIFU/DBS), etc.)
    • Pediatric/Adult Anesthesia
    • Breast Imaging
  • Device vetting (pacemaker, etc.)
  • Flexibility in scheduling, ability to rotate shifts as well as coverage for weekends and holidays.
  • Flexibility to rotate to other sites when necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CRT Licensure
  • MRSO

License/Certification:

  • ARRT approved MRI Certification
  • BLS Certification
  • Venipuncture Certification

Salary: $88.73 (Hourly Rate)
