Managing risk is of paramount importance to our brand and reputation, and the US RIM team works side-by-side with the business to do this. Our aim is to enable responsible growth, which means working with the business to identify, monitor, and manage risk, and consult and advise on matters related to Records Management and Information Governance.
About the job
This opportunity is an ideal role for an individual who wants to directly contribute to EY’s US organization. The Records & Information Management (RIM) subfunction has oversight for a RIM framework that is established in line with the needs of the business to control and govern the lifecycle of records and information at the US level, supporting immediate and future regulatory, legal, risk, and operational requirements. It helps the business mitigate risks and costs, demonstrate compliance, defend against claims, and improve operations and productivity.
Your key responsibilities
- Responsible for supporting all aspects of the Records and Information Management (RIM) US program and achieving key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Focusing on risk and compliance, leverage knowledge and industry expertise to support the global retention schedule, adhere to compliance standards, and develop processes for the governance and lifecycle management of EY’s US records and information.
- Lead, manage, and participate in projects.
- Consult and collaborate effectively with key internal and external RIM stakeholders (e.g., Services Lines, Functions, EY Technology, Legal, Data Protection, Acquisitions, members of the Region RIM Liaison network, industry vendors) to drive the design and implementation of solutions across the US business.
Skills and attributes for success
- Interest in enhancing EY’s ability to manage the lifecycle of records and information.
- Interest in working with a diverse team within the Americas and globally (Global RIM) to deploy programs and share knowledge.
- Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills, with a proven inclusive and flexible approach.
- Effective communicator with good written and oral presentation skills.
- Proven project management skills and experience of delivering projects in a matrixed organization.
- Ability to persuade, influence, negotiate, and gain leadership buy-in for proposed change initiatives.
To qualify for the role you must have
- University graduate; records and information lifecycle/management experience.
- Certified Records Manager (CRM) or Information Governance Professional (IGP) certification or willingness to obtain certification within the first 2 years.
- Familiarity with relevant external standards.
- Advanced MS Office knowledge (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and fundamental RIM technologies.
- Prior experience in creating and delivering communications.
