Amida is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Data Scientist to join our team. This role requires expertise in advanced data analysis, machine learning, optimization techniques, and the application of deep neural networks to solve complex business problems. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in supervised and unsupervised learning methods, coupled with extensive experience in structured and unstructured data manipulation and pipeline.

What will you do:

  1. Design, implement, and optimize machine learning models to address business challenges
  2. Work with data analysts to document and use cases to design
  3. Map and organize data science methods best suited for use case into five categories: Descriptive (classification, interpretation of historical data), Introspective (root cause analysis (RCA), anomaly), Predictive (forecasting), Prescriptive (recommendation, optimization), and Cognitive (NLP, Generative AI)
  4. Develop end-to-end machine learning pipelines, from feature engineering to deployment
  5. Stay updated with the latest developments in deep learning architecture and techniques
  6. Leverage LLMs for generating insights, automating tasks, and enhancing decision-making processes
  7. Analyze large, complex datasets to extract actionable insights and trends
  8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate data findings into strategic recommendations
  9. Apply optimization techniques to enhance model performance and solve operational challenges
  10. Develop and implement algorithms for resource allocation, process improvement, and efficiency gains
  11. Work closely with data engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure alignment of data initiatives with business objectives
  12. Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance on best practices
  13. Write clean, efficient, and scalable Python code for data processing, model development, and automation
  14. Leverage Python libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and others

Required Skills:

  1. Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or Data Science
  2. Minimum 5 years of experience in data science, machine learning, or a related role
  3. Proven track record of implementing supervised and unsupervised learning models in real-world applications
  4. Proficiency in Python and its ecosystem
  5. Knowledge of database technologies
  6. Strong understanding of supervised and unsupervised learning techniques
  7. Hands-on experience with deep neural networks and modern architectures (e.g., CNNs, RNNs, transformers)
  8. Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities
  9. Strong communication skills to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  10. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  11. Familiarity with agile process

Preferred Skills:

  1. Expertise in auto-ML methods
  2. Familiarity with graph databases (e.g., Neo4j).
