The essential role of this position is to:

The Project Executive is responsible for managing the department’s operations and for leading and managing a team of project managers, assistant project managers, and superintendents to deliver exceptional results for our clients. The Project Executive is an executive-level position and is expected to identify, propose, close, and manage construction projects which generate profits.

Summary of Responsibilities:

  1. Leads teams in a way to maximize the contributions of each member.
  2. Leads a team of Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers to deliver exceptional results.
  3. Initiates suggestions for company-wide process improvements.
  4. Identifies creative ways to deliver additional profit if possible.
  5. Develops contingency plans in advance to mitigate potential risks.
  6. Manages multiple project teams successfully while maximizing both profit and client satisfaction.
  7. Understands the subcontractor scope and contracts, and identifies opportunities and risks.
  8. Holds subcontractors to the same standard of being committed to excellence.
  9. Does whatever it takes to deliver on the Company’s promise.
  10. Proactively builds and sustains relationships with targeted clients.
  11. Attends industry, social, and non-profit events to build relationships and identify new opportunities.
  12. Participates in Executive Team meetings as required, demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of the status of every project under his/her control.
  13. Delegates the appropriate level of responsibility to team members to ensure that the project/tasks run smoothly.
  14. Ensures that job processes are followed in accordance with policies.
  15. Mentors and teaches subordinates to identify, document, and plan to avoid risk.
  16. Ensures accuracy in budget projections.
  17. Ensures Company’s contractual standards are being met prior to performing work.
  18. Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Credentials required:

  1. BA/BS degree (or higher) in construction management or engineering related field.
  2. 10+ years of design-build construction management experience.

Basic requirements:

  1. BS Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture from an accredited University.
  2. 10+ years of experience in Government Contracting, with a local General Contractor.
  3. History of managing construction programs to ensure completed product/service is delivered on time, within budget, and with quality and integrity.
  4. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with owners, engineers, architects, estimators, subcontractors, and governmental agencies involved in the construction process.
