Job ID: 2834102 | Amazon.com Services LLC

Amazon Web Services is seeking a Senior Program Manager for the Infrastructure Central Finance (ICF) team. As part of the team, you will solve unique and complex problems at a rapid pace, utilizing the latest technologies to create solutions that are highly scalable. We are committed to making your work experience as enjoyable as the experiences you’ll be creating for our customers.
Successful candidates will have deep experience across three disciplines - Finance (specifically Tax and/or Accounting), Program Management, and Technology - and be well-versed in all three in order to bridge across our diverse group of stakeholders. The candidate needs to be able to easily understand the business lines they engage, supporting information technologies, and finance/accounting/tax disciplines, and the impacts of each on the project.
The candidate also needs to support communications in these areas with current process owners, project stakeholders, and executive-level sponsors.
Projects in our portfolio range from urgent compliance needs to long-term multi-year deliveries requiring work across multiple functional teams and modification to multiple distributed systems. As such, the candidate will often be required to dive deep to remove roadblocks and carefully manage scope to deliver results while still earning trust across many functions and stakeholders with executive-level visibility and sponsorship.

Key Job Responsibilities
  1. Managing large initiatives through project initiation, planning, execution, and close-out.
  2. Creating and maintaining project materials used by a cross-functional core team.
  3. Building workstream project plans and identifying workstream dependencies during the planning process; supporting the resource planning process.
  4. Executing project closeout process and practices, ensuring all project artifacts are finalized and archived as appropriate.
  5. Taking the lead role with stakeholders to define, align on, and refine program objectives, deliverables, and resources.
  6. Obtaining and driving clarity into requirements coming from one or more impacted functions and demonstrating a solid working knowledge of requirements to project stakeholders and sponsors.
  7. Identifying areas of risk to the project scope or timeline, and escalating to program leadership in a timely manner.
  8. Diving deep where needed to resolve blocking issues during project execution, testing, launch, and cutover.
  9. Leading cross-functional teams through workstream retrospectives to help drive improvements into team processes; owning and driving process improvements.
  10. Communicating the overall program roadmap and periodic status updates to executive stakeholder body including Amazon Businesses, Tax, Accounting, Treasury, HR, Legal, Finance Operations, and related technical teams.
  11. Developing and implementing enterprise-wide program management tools and standards to support program management core competencies within the team and within broader Finance.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, finance, or related technical or quantitative field.
  • 5+ years of program or project management experience.
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements.
  • Experience owning program strategy, end-to-end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 2+ years of driving process improvements experience.
  • Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design, or related field.
