GENERAL FUNCTION:

Responsible for developing and maintaining profitable distribution of ABS securities to an assigned investor base t hrough sales of primary and secondary ABS investment products to institutional clients.

Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues and ensure that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank's risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

+ Develop and maintain customer relationships through prospecting and account maintenance activities. Focus on Investors that transact in Consumer, Transportation, Esoteric and developing ABS asset classes.

+ Build relationships within Capital Markets and the ABS DCM Group.

+ Provide manager with monthly recap of activity and developmental needs.

+ Maintain deep knowledge on new products and industry trends.

+ Develop new and creative approaches to customer relationship building.

+ Develop understanding of middle office and back-office operations that support sales effort, and establish a working relationship with those personnel.

+ Provide market feedback to fixed income traders and syndicate.

+ Generate revenue at level exceeding goal determined by Sales Manager.

+ Make customer/prospect referrals to other corporate calling officers and document same.

+ Represent department at seminars, trade shows, industry forums.

+ Provide manager with revenue generation/cost savings ideas.

+ Based on vertical, provide thoughts on investor buyer base and deliver new accounts/key impact to processes involving investor sentiment, preferences, needs

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This role may be responsible for leading a team. Responsible for providing employees timely, candid and constructive performance feedback; developing employees to their fullest potential and provide challenging opportunities that enhance employee career growth; developing the appropriate talent pool to ensure adequate bench strength and succession planning; recognizing and rewarding employees for accomplishments.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED:

+ Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance or Business related field. MBA or CFA preferred.

+ 8-10 years experience in ABS Sales and/or ABS Banking.

+ Thorough knowledge of and ability to use software programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Bloomberg

+ Solid client/investor relationships developed

+ Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 7, 63 required.

Director, ABS Sales

Compensation for this position is largely incentive-based. Incentives are combined with either a base salary or a draw, resulting in total cash compensation. More information can be obtained upon request.
