The Role

Our Manufacturing, Logistics, Energy & Utilities Consulting group is looking for a Senior Consultant to join our journey. We're looking for Senior Consultants who can deliver within Cognizant's Five Pillars of Consulting Excellence: 1) Project Execution, 2) Expertise, 3) Business Development, 4) Practice Development, & 5) People Development. As a Senior Consultant (Manager level), this means partnering with clients and project stakeholders while enabling consulting excellence through these pillars.

Responsibilities

  1. Work with clients to establish clear connections between business goals and strategies to capability development and implementation to achieving desired business value.
  2. Define product/platform strategies and solutions focused on Transportation Planning and execution, including logistics planning, route optimization, and fleet management.
  3. Understand scope and define business requirements along with client business stakeholders.
  4. Map business processes to identify improvement/transformation opportunities.
  5. End-to-end requirement management of products from product/platform vision to deliverable stories.
  6. Prepare functional use cases/detailed user stories.
  7. Validate UX/UI for every feature/function.
  8. Conduct stories/functionality demo to client product management teams (internal/external).
  9. Review test plans prepared by the QA Team.
  10. Support UAT.
  11. Assist in resolving scope, requirements, and other technical related queries.
  12. Manage change requests/enhancements/features.
  13. Defect analysis, testing, and demo to clients.
  14. Expertise in working with multi-geography development teams to deliver production-ready products with incremental value.
  15. Advanced problem resolution skills and communication abilities.
  16. Create and maintain long-term working relationships with technology teams, functional counterparts, vendors, and business partners.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent relevant experience, with additional certifications preferred but not mandatory.
  • 7+ years of consulting experience with a focus on Transportation and Logistics.
  • Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certifications are preferred but not required.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Show proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
  • Display a deep understanding of industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Be capable of working effectively in a hybrid work model.
  • Demonstrate the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Exhibit a commitment to continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Maintain a client-focused approach with strong relationship management skills.
  • Personal leadership and a desire to create a culture that enables exceptional outcomes; the embodiment of Cognizant's Core Values.
  • Ability to travel if needed for business requirements.
