Reporting to the VP Supply Chain Management Americas, you will step into a dynamic role where your ideas and experiences are actively sought and can make a tangible difference.

We consider ourselves a fully inclusive business, where individuals enhance our culture not simply fit it. In this role, you'll have the chance to be part of a team, shaping the response to the growing industry. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, utilizing your strategic thinking and creativity to contribute to both the profitability and positive visibility of our fast-growing Americas region as well as Kelvion globally.

This role will drive our successful management of all the critical material availability requirements across our Catoosa site ensuring that the operations have “the right materials, in the right place at the right time at the right cost and quality.”

The continuous availability of materials and services at the right place, time, and requested conditions is essential for not only day-to-day business execution but also for the long-term company goals. Supply Chain is therefore considered one of the key enablers of the company’s success. You will play a key role in supporting our growth strategy, taking ownership and responsibility for defining and delivering the Supply Chain Management (Purchasing; Material Management; Transportation & Logistics; and Material Planning) on-site, leading a team to deliver day-to-day activity, as well as driving strategic initiatives for growth, profitability, and supporting global standardization. The role therefore requires great team leadership skills, an analytical approach, and an ability to transform supplier and SCM processes to support the site within our global supply chain framework, alongside having outstanding customer management and communication skills, and a proven ability to be a true supply chain business partner to the operational team.

What you will be responsible for:

  2. Assure the deployment and execution of the objectives and directives assigned to the Supply Chain function by the site VP Operations and the rest of the Supply Chain organization.
  3. Assure the availability of Materials and Services at the required dates according to the company needs.
  4. Define the right Material planning and ordering processes (MRP, reordering point, spot order, etc.) for each type of material or services, considering the key related business conditions such as customer orders lead time, supplier lead time, availability, and reliability of bill of materials, etc.
  5. Monitor the business development and maintain accordingly the key material planning parameters in the system such as min/max stock, reordering points, min order quantities, and others.
  6. Execute periodically the defined planning processes and send to suppliers via the defined communication channel (email, EDI, others) the corresponding material or services requests or orders coming out of the above-mentioned predefined planning processes.
  7. Assure that supplier orders are inclusive of or make clear reference to all necessary documentation related to the conditions of purchase.
  8. Manage and execute the defined process of receiving supplier confirmation for the received orders.
  9. Manage and escalate, if necessary, such cases in which those supplier order confirmations contradict, totally or partially, the requested purchasing conditions.
  10. Understand the Market evolution: threats, opportunities, and technological trends. Inform other affected areas in the company.
  11. Assure the necessary input and support to the organization in Supply Chain related matters (budget preparation, ERP maintenance, plant objectives, reporting, projects, supplier issues, etc.).
  12. Define and execute the processes related to Material handling throughout the entire material cycle at the site. Assure the correct levels of material inventory.
  13. Assure that the necessary commodity sourcing activities and processes required by the different projects in development are launched and completed on time.
  14. Lead the selection and nomination of new suppliers relative to the assigned spend until final approval according to the established decision levels.
  15. Lead the purchasing activities related to new contracts or modifications of existing ones according to the established decision levels relative to the assigned spend.
  16. Foster and lead the initiatives related to the improvement of the cost and efficiency of the Materials, Components, Investments, and Services used in order to meet the company’s yearly and long-term objectives.
  17. Assure that the correct level and content of technical and financial information is available throughout all sales bidding and purchasing sourcing processes.
  18. Ensure the alignment of the supply base development with the company’s goals and strategic actions.
  19. Implement and execute the Procedures, Tools, Operative Instructions, and Reporting Systems, so that the assigned functions can be correctly executed, results and information correctly consolidated, decisions adequately taken, and intercompany communication facilitated.
  20. Represent Supply Chain Americas region in matters relating to supply chain.
