Job Summary – The Director of Licensing will work with Legal and Compliance to develop and implement a comprehensive licensing program based on industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities –

  1. Work closely with and support retail and online businesses with regulatory licensing.
  2. Identify and assist with entity licensing requirements.
  3. Assist with implementation of a comprehensive licensing program.
  4. Establish monitoring systems to track licensing status and compliance; prepare reports for senior management and the board of directors.
  5. Assist with registration and licensing as may be required by various jurisdictions.
  6. Ensure that the company is aligned with compliance’s best practices across Churchill Downs Incorporated.
  7. Build and promote positive relationships with regulators, vendors, suppliers, and stakeholders.
  8. Interpret and integrate licensing requirements in new and existing jurisdictions.
  9. Any other duties that arise in this dynamic and continuously growing company.

Skills/Experience:

  1. Juris Doctor or legal experience preferred.
  2. 3-5 years of experience in licensing and regulatory compliance, preferably in industries requiring stringent licensure.
  3. Strong understanding of administrative law, regulatory frameworks, and compliance procedures.
  4. Experience in a director-level role or equivalent in licensing or regulatory affairs.
  5. Understanding of the US interactive gaming market preferred.

Essential: The applicant must be eligible to work in the United States.
