Job Summary and QualificationsAs a highly-skilled and compassionate Diagnostic Imaging Nurse you will function as a member of the multidisciplinary team as an advocate and educator for patients from point of entry, through diagnostic studies, and diagnosis process. You will be an integral part of a team that pulls together to provide a quality patient care experience. We are seeking passionate individuals who are ready to take their career to the next level
In this role:
- You will provide excellent patient care as through your primary function building relationships with patients and physicians, to coordinate a plan of care including appointments, transportation, education, provision and / or enablement of support services and representation within the multidisciplinary care environment.
- You will assist the patient through all aspects of the procedure, including; pre-procedure documentation review with radiologists, pre-procedure call with the patient, intra-procedure support for the patient and radiologist, post procedure coordination of care, follow up call with patient, and assurance of pathology results being addressed.
- You will maintain accurate, timely and compliant patient records. Completes all paperwork associated with these procedures and prepares tests for physician interpretation.
- You will demonstrates an ability to be flexible, organized and function well under stressful situations.
- You will assume responsibility and accountability for the management of resources to achieve efficient, high quality outcomes for each patient including support for interdisciplinary and cross facility collaboration.
- You will monitor patients, document and communicate pre and post procedure.
Qualifications:
- Current nursing license in good standing
- Associate’s Degree in nursing required, bachelor’s preferred
- Previous Radiology or Imaging experience strongly preferred
- Two or more years of nursing experience strongly preferred
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification.
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certified (ACLS) and certification.
